A postmodern, heroic action-adventure superspy tabletop roleplaying game for 3-5 people.

Today’s world is an international one.  A world where nations and governments hold sway, sure, but in too many places, one where might and money rule.  Even in so-called “first world” nations such as the United States, we are not immune from its reach.  There remain places where the authorities lack the power, jurisdiction, or will to intervene to protect the vulnerable.  So who is to face the true villain, the one who power defends?  The Yggdrasil Initiative is a secret project borne to fill that gap.

You're a hero - a badass - and you're not alone.  A brilliant hacker, a 7th-dan martial artist, parkour runner, white-knuckled daredevil driver, and more; agents recruited from government, civilian, military, and even criminal backgrounds come together to face the evils of greed and neofascism.  Your foes will stop at nothing, spare no expense, and when it comes to force, will not stay their hand.  Your only hope is to work together and stay one step ahead of them.

You got this, right?

Development note

This game is a public beta, and is still a work in progress.  Design and art work are forthcoming, as is a sample mission arc.  I wanted to get this in front of people as soon as I could to get some playtest feedback, which is more than welcome!

If you wish to develop a Measure of a Badass game based on this work, feel free to start, but please hold off on publishing until the game is solid and the license for derivative works is finalized.  Thank you!
